Accessibility
Last updated September 2026
We want everyone to be able to read about and buy Harry Black’s books. This website has been built with accessibility in mind and aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Pages use clear headings and landmarks so they work well with screen readers.
- Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
- Text and buttons meet contrast guidelines against their backgrounds.
- Book covers have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, animations and scrolling effects are switched off.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content, and the layout adapts to small screens.
- Contact form fields are labelled, and errors are explained in words next to the field concerned.
Known limitations
The book covers are artwork, and some of their text is part of the image. The title and author of each book are always given in the page text as well.
